I have just opened an account but my FTP will not work

To use FTP before your name-servers have propagated to our server, you must use the IP address listed in your control panel. FTP access using ftp.yourdomain.com will work once either the domain name has been fully registered or if you have transferred your domain name to us when the Nameserver records have been updated. Both instances will take around 24 hours.

I have uploaded my site but I can't see it, what's wrong?

You need to upload your index.html (or equivilant - index.php etc) file to the "httpdocs" folder, if you upload it anywhere else it will not work. When you have uploaded your own file, make sure you delete any index.html file that may have been there for a placeholder.

Why can't I send Email from my email software (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc)?

Several Internet Service Providers either filter or block Port 25, which is the server port for Outgoing Email. Please Contact Us to get the appropriate port information for your server.

A way around this, is to simply enter your ISP's Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) information in your email software settings. Replace mail.yourdomain.com with smtp.yourISPsettings.com.

I'm sending emails and they're bouncing back with a message like "553 sorry, that domain isn't in my list of allowed rcpthosts (#5.7.1)." What is wrong?

Our SMTP servers require authenication. You need to configure your email client (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.) so that Outgoing mail uses authentication. Remember, your email username is always your FULL email address.
